1 cup of cooked lentils (or a can of cooked lentils- be sure to thoroughly rinse them)
3 cloves of garlic
1/4 cup tahini
1/4- 1/3 cup of extra virgin olive oil (slowly add in more to get a creamier consistency)
Juice of half of a lemon
1/2 tsp of cumin
1/2 tsp of paprika
1/2 tsp of cayenne pepper
Sea salt to taste
* The measurements are rough estimates of the amounts I add. I like to eyeball everything and play around with the flavours and textures until I reach a combination I like.
Blend all of the ingredients in a food processor, slowly adding more olive oil until the desired consistency is reached.
Serve with cut vegetables, with crackers, on sandwiches, or as a salad topping.
